Orgasms don’t usually come easily. That’s due to the arbitrary nature of human pleasure. And while men can reach orgasm quite fast, women need a bit more time. Whether you’re a woman, looking to find out more about yourself or a guy wanting to be the perfect partner, keep on reading. In this article, we’ll be taking a look at every type of female orgasm.
Clitoral Orgasm
This is the most common orgasm women have and usually the first. This type of orgasm is reached by stimulating (rubbing, licking, kissing) the outer part of the clitoris. Just like the penis, the clitoris is full of very sensitive nerve endings, making it the main source of pleasure for women.
This type of orgasm is the easiest one to achieve. In fact, it’s the one many women prefer. They enjoy direct stimulation of the clitoris that involves up-and-down movements or making circles. Of course, each woman is different so don’t be afraid to try different things with your lover.
Vaginal Orgasm
This type of orgasm is induced through vaginal penetration. This can be done with either toys, fingers or, of course, the penis. According to surveys, less than 1 in 5 women can orgasm just from vaginal penetration so this one is a bit less common.
Vaginal orgasms are sometimes even considered less intense forms of clitoral orgasms. That’s because the clitoris wraps around the vaginal canal internally and is also stimulated during penetration.
G-Spot Orgasm
The G-spot can be found on the front vagina wall, usually around 2 inches inside. It feels amazing to be stimulated because of its proximity to the clitoris and such an orgasm is considered a type of vaginal climax. This particular area also feels good to be pressed against, so a curved finger or a toy will be perfect to help your girl achieve G-spot orgasm.
However, the G-spot isn’t yet fully understood. Some people believe it is its own structure, while others don’t even believe it exists. Some scientists argued that the G-spot is actually an enlarged or retracted second clitoris.
Anal Orgasm
As the name suggests, anal orgasms are induced throgh the stimulation of the anus and rectum. Unlike the first three types of orgasms, this one can be achieved by people of all genders. In the case of males, they’re called P-spot orgasms or prostate orgasms. Men can achieve such orgasms by having their prostate stimulated.
Some men say that prostate orgasms are even more pleasurable than the “classic” ones. Anal orgasms can happen in women too. But, once again, that’s usually because of the anus’ closeness to the internal clitoris and pelvic floor area, which are filled with nerve endings.
Squirting Orgasm
You might have heard men bragging about making their girlfriend squirt. But what does it exactly mean? Well, squirting is another specific type of orgasm. To be more specific, it’s the one where a woman ejaculates a type of fluid. This “squirt”, as it’s called, is similar to both urine and semen.
Many women have experienced this type of orgasm and it’s highly likely that any person with a vagina is able to. Contrary to popular belief, squirting isn’t necessarily associated with an orgasm. However, it’s a pleasurable experience no matter how you do it. (Stay tuned for our future guide on how to make a woman squirt!)
Full-Body Orgasm
A full-body orgasm is probably one of the most intense experiences one can have. This orgasm feels like it’s coming in waves, through the entire body. People might experience vibrating and tingling sensations in nongenital body parts.
Some people say that continuous edging can help them achieve full body orgasm eventually. Stimulating and moving the upper body during sex can also help people get a full body orgasm experience.
Nipple Orgasm
It might sound weird but some people are able to achieve orgasms by having their nipples stimulated. According to studies, nipple stimulation activates the same nerve pathways as – you’ve guessed it – genital stimulation. It’s the main reason why nipples are considered to be an erogenous zone.
As with all types of orgasms, start with small and delicate movements. Then, when you notice your partner breathing heavily and arching their back, increase the pace and intensity of your movements.
